This is an idea which I already posted on Linkedin during the first lockdown in March 2020. The whole family was at home, my husband at the homeoffice and I was locked in homeschooling the kids. Many parents find themselves in the same situation again now.
What almost got on my last nerve at the beginning, also started to develop as inspiration. Suddenly, besides the obligatory stuff, you should as well fill the rest of the day at home with meaningful activities, preferably somehow educational for the kids.
Thus, me and my kids set out and went into the forest. There we have turned half the forest upside down to find useful materials for our little project. Of course, we did this with the necessary consideration for animals and the environment! We came back with heaps of branches, moss, stones, pine cones, and pine branches and made a Kneipp path from the materials we had collected. This was a real hit with the kids! Each material feels different on the soles of their little feet. At the end of the path we had a basin with warm water.
Of course there are no limits to your imagination. With all the snow and ice, it's certainly a challenge to include any of that into the Kneipp path as well.
