It's hard to believe, but the weather just doesn't want to get any better this summer. It is also a bit frustrating for the kids, since they always have to play in damp environments. But as we all know, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing and probably an inappropriate attitude. So we recently set out with a plastic bucket and went on a snail hunt.
Back with about 15 different snails, we marked out a race course, put up a few stones as obstacles and gave the snails a lettuce leaf and tomatoes as a reward. And off we go! It takes extra patience, but it's super fun.
At the end, of course, don‘t forget to release the snails in a species-appropriate environment :-)
So this year's motto should be: Don't wait for the sun, learn to dance in the rain.
Cheers!
Nadine
